🌴 My Digital Sandbox
Updated: October 16, 2025, for content assurance
A long, long time ago, just after the dinosaurs roamed the Earth, there was Geocities, AOL, Angelfire, and MySpace. Those days are thankfully behind us, but here I am again, writing (or typing) on my own personalized website as the calendar prepares to flip from 2019 to 2020. As you may very well know, “they say hindsight is 20/20”, and I think it’s time to reflect on the past while keeping an eye on the future.
This site is a space where I’ll share memorable events, professional milestones, and personal reflections. It’s also a showcase of my skills, achievements, and resume. I chose WordPress as my CMS platform (yes, over Drupal) for its simplicity, automation, and flexibility. Posts here will come in blog form, but don’t expect them to be ordinary or average.
A “Native” San Diegan with a Tech Twist
Born in Merced, California while my father served in the Air Force, I was raised in Spring Valley, CA and La Mesa, CA where both of my parents grew up and where I still call home. My journey started like many others: grade school, junior high, high school, and my first job at Dow Stereo & Video. That’s where my passion for electronics really took off.
From Dow, I moved on to MobilWorks and Classic Sounds, where I met my legendary friend Martin Samo. Eventually, I realized I needed more than just a job, I needed a career. So, I went back to school and earned my AA at Grossmont College and was then ultimately accepted into Cal State San Marcos. That is where I completed my bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in High Technology Management.
From Circuit Boards to Cloud Migrations
Since then, my career has taken me through a wide range of industries, from software development and cloud ERP to healthcare IT and Microsoft 365 implementations. I’ve led teams of over 200 people, managed programs with budgets in the millions, and helped organizations transform how they work and collaborate.
Whether it’s launching Microsoft Teams to 25,000 users in under five weeks, orchestrating Epic EHR end-user-device deployments, or guiding cybersecurity readiness initiatives, I bring a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to every challenge. I’m certified in PMP, Scrum Mastery, and Product Ownership, and I thrive in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid environments.
